Become Psychology has been running an online psychological therapy service since 2017.  Dr Robert Watson, Clinical Psychologist, and Cal Nield, CAT Psychotherapist and Tutor from the Academy of Online Therapy, started running courses in 2019 on the practical and relational elements to consider when working online either as a therapist, supervisor or trainer.

Next workshop webinar:  Monday 5th October , 10am.

The workshop will:

  1. Review conceptualisations of the therapeutic alliance and reflect upon how the online therapeutic relationship may be facilitated and hindered by factors related to the use of technology.
  2. Facilitate reflection around the issues presented by offering therapy to clients ‘online’ using technology.
  3. Introduce the ethical, legal, security, and GDPR frameworks that online therapy lies within.
  4. Outline best practice when offering online psychotherapy, including when it may not be appropriate

We can also offer bespoke online training and consultations to therapists individually or in groups, including NHS services. The precise content of the training can be designed with your specific needs in mind.  For further information and to discuss a request for training please contact: Dr Robert Watson, Clinical Psychologist, on 07941027765 or email: [email protected].
